3 Behind ^athe second veil there was a ^{▼▼ Or sacred tent}tabernacle which is called the ^cHoly of Holies, 4 having a golden ^{▼▼ Or censer
,} ^ealtar of incense and ^fthe ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was ^ga golden jar holding the manna, and ^hAaron’s rod which budded, and ⁱthe tables of the covenant; 5 and above it were the ^jcherubim of glory ^kovershadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

6 Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests ^lare continually entering the ^{▼▼ Lit first}outer ^{▼▼ Or sacred tent}tabernacle performing the divine worship, 7 but into ^othe second, only ^pthe high priest enters ^qonce a year, ^rnot without taking blood, which he ^soffers for himself and for the ^{▼▼ Lit ignorance of the people
